Wilkes-Barre/Scranton International Airport To Receive State Funds

PITTSTON TWP. — Wilkes-Barre/Scranton International Airport will get $147,500 in state funds. The state’s Aviation Transportation Assistance Program will mete out $15 million to airports across the state. The money at the local airport will be used for a $295,000 project to relocate a Transportation Security Administration checkpoint. Pocono Mountains Municipal Airport in Monroe County will receive $800,000 to go toward a $1.6 million hangar construction project. — CLAYTON OVER
