Suspect in drug deal robbery arrested, Madison police say
A man accused of robbing and hitting a homeless man during a drug deal Downtown has been arrested by Madison police.
Quincy Thomas, 48, no permanent address, was tentatively charged with armed robbery, substantial battery and possession of a firearm by a felon, police said.
The incident happened on May 8, and Thomas was taken into custody on Tuesday.
The 35-year-old victim was disputing how much a small amount of marijuana was going to cost, when Thomas allegedly grabbed all of the victim’s money and hit him in the head with the butt of his handgun.
The victim suffered an orbital bone fracture and a bruised eye.
