Annual Taste of Ironton coming Saturday
IRONTON — The 4th annual Taste of Ironton will have more vendors this year when the event kicks off at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 30, at the farmer’s market in downtown Ironton.
Tickets already are on sale at Unger’s Shoes, Dick’s Music and Consignment Books Store. Those buying tickets early also will receive a coupon for a free drink at the event, according to Sam Heighton, executive director of Ironton aLive.
Ticket books (10 coupons) are $10, and coupons can be purchased for $1 each after that, according to Heighton.
“This is a big event for the city,” Heighton said. “We’re making up menus right now. It’s a nice event.”
Two big tents will be erected in the farmers market parking lot and there will be several rows of tables for people to eat, he said.
Food vendors at the Taste of Ironton include: The Depot, Toro Loca, The Blue Bridge Cafe, Pick n’ Save, Buffalo Wild Wings, Marco’s, Giovanni’s, Haute Stuff Catering, Holy Smokes BBQ, Tudor’s Biscuit World, Underdawg at the Elks, Wizardfest, Shop’s Sweets, Delights by Davis, Nan’s Baked Goods and Dick Fisher specialty coffee.
The event is scheduled from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The farmers market also will be open starting at 7 a.m. Saturday, Heighton said.
