Temperatures reaching low 30s, no snow but still mostly cloudy Monday in Akron: Weather forecast

AKRON, Ohio – Weather-wise, things are finally settling down Tuesday in Akron. No ice, snow or rain is in the forecast (for once), with temperatures staying steady in the mid 20s to 30s. So you should be able to send your kids to school.

For the morning commute, still take it slow on the roads. While there won’t be any snow or wintry mix showers, Monday’s slush will likely freeze overnight, leading to the possibility of a few random patches of ice on roads. Temperatures in the morning will bottom out in the mid 20s, and with light winds, wind chills will only be a few degrees cooler. In the afternoon, the high will top off around 36 degrees, but that wind chill will stay in the low 30s.

A strong area of high pressure will dry the skies too much to form any precipitation. Chances across the board are all less than 10 percent. But it won’t last long. Tuesday will be the last cooler, dry day before a big warm-up and a days of rain return to Northeast Ohio mid-week.
