April 27, 2018 GMT

POCATELLO - The Senior Games in Pocatello provide participants, 50 years of age or better, with opportunities for competition, fun and camaraderie. With personal goals and high expectations, seniors will come together July 6 -14, 2018 and compete in over 220 events at 30 different venues. The common pursuit of a medal takes commitment. The participants prove no one is ever too old to go for Gold.

Trap Shooting is a new event this year being held on Saturday, July 14 at 9 a.m. The Games has something to offer every interest and level of fitness – from basketball, track and field events to archery, softball, pickleball, table tennis, tennis, softball, swimming and cycling. Less physical games include shuffleboard, croquet, horseshoes, bowling, Wii bowling and a variety of card games such as bridge, hand and foot and pinochle. Golf is 9 or 18-hole scratch play and the dance competition now includes square dancing and zumba.

Portneuf Medical Center has been a supporter of the games since its inception in 2003 and embraced the Games in 2014 by becoming the Naming Sponsor.
