Jack-knifed semitrailer closes portion of I-90 in Lake County

CLEVELAND, Ohio — A semitrailer crash in Lake County has shut down the eastbound lanes of Interstate 90.

The Ohio Department of Transportation reported the crash about 10:30 a.m. Tuesday. All eastbound drivers should use an alternate route, according to ODOT.

The semitrailer is jack-knifed on the highway between Ohio 44 and Vrooman Road, according to ODOT.

Transportation officials have since dropped the speed limit on I-90 in Lake County to 30 mph due to whiteout conditions in the area.
