ATHOL, Mass. (AP) — Authorities have released the identity of a woman found dead near a Massachusetts community’s wastewater treatment plant.

The Northwestern District Attorney’s Office said in a release Wednesday that a body found near the entrance of the Athol wastewater treatment plant has been identified as 26-year-old Kelsey Clifford, of Leominster.

Authorities said earlier in the week that the death was “considered criminal in nature.”

The state medical examiner’s office will determine cause and manner of death.

Authorities say no further information is available.
