County spelling bee set for Friday in Kingman

KINGMAN — A spelling bee for students from schools throughout Mohave County will be held Friday in Kingman.

The winners of spelling bees held at each school will face off against each other starting at 6 p.m. Friday at the county administration building at 700 W. Beale St. in Kingman, Mohave County School Supt. Mike File said. The doors will open at 5:30 p.m.

There are usually between 32 to 38 students from fourth to eighth grades participating in the county spelling bee. Friday’s winner will go to the state spelling bee, File added.
