Woman and her dog struck and killed crossing SC highway
ANDERSON, S.C. (AP) — Authorities say a woman and her dog were struck and killed by a vehicle while crossing a South Carolina highway.
Anderson County Deputy Coroner Don McCown said the 31-year-old woman was crossing U.S. Highway 76 with her boyfriend just south of Interstate 85 around 7 a.m. Friday.
McCown told media outlets he will release the woman’s name after her family is notified of her death.
Troopers say the driver of the car that hit the woman has not been charged.
