ONE INJURED WHEN SCHOOL BUS COLLIDES WITH CAR IN POCATELLO
POCATELLO — A Pocatello woman who failed to stop her Toyota Corolla at a red light was transported to Portneuf Medical Center after she struck a Pocatello-Chubbuck School District 25 school bus, police said.
Police said the woman was driving south on Pole Line Road when she ran a red light at 7:42 a.m. Tuesday and collided with the school bus. Police said the bus was traveling on Eldredge Road, crossing Pole Line when it was struck by the Corolla. The car struck a power pole after hitting the school bus.
Police said the woman’s injuries were not life threatening. Her name has not been released.
School District 25 says there were two students on the bus when the crash occurred. The School District said no one on the bus was injured.
Eldredge and Pole Line roads have been closed to all traffic in the area of the wreck and motorists should avoid the area.
