Local Table, Edelweiss Stube coming to Bridgeland this Spring
Lakeland Village Center, the retail and shopping center from the Howard Hughes Corporation, will receive some new restaurants for Bridgeland residents and their neighbors to enjoy.
Jim Carman, senior vice president of commercial development for the Howard Hughes Corporation, confirmed that Local Table, a Mediterranean themed restaurant, Local Bar, a bar from the same owners of Local Table and Edelweiss Stube, a Swiss cuisine restaurant, will open in the Lakeland Village Center soon.
Bridgeland is a master-planned community for Howard Hughes Corporation located in the Cy-Fair area. Local Table and Local Bar are expected to open in April while Edelweiss Stube is expected to open this spring, Carman said. He said Bridgeland is continuously adding more retail and businesses as the community grows.
“The bigger picture for Bridgeland is that we’ll have multiple village centers as we continue to build out Bridgeland Central, which is our town center, being our largest commercial zone for Bridgeland,” Carman said.
Earlier this year, Heath Melton, vice president of master-planned communities for Howard Hughes Corporation, said Bridgeland is also opening their first multi-family development by the end of 2019 and is expanding west.
“We’ll start some early infrastructure projects more from a drainage standpoint, kind of in the northwest quadrant, up by Grand Parkway and Louetta Road,” Melton said. “Hopefully within the next two or three years the market’s going to be ready for some early elements of that, whether it be more of a lifestyle center, but that’s something we’re looking at from a forward planning process.”
