Longmont-area Faith Briefs for Nov. 17, 2017
Class on racism at CENTRALongmont
CENTRALongmont Presbyterian Church plans a class on racism. It is not a class that will push guilt, but rather encourage an understanding of what racism really is, how it exists today and our role in it.
The class will study three books: “Waking up White,” by Debby Irving, “Just Mercy,” by Bryan Stevenson, and “The New Jim Crow,” by Michelle Alexander. Reading the books is not required for the class, but is strongly recommended.
The class runs through Dec. 10, CENTRALongmont Presbyterian Church, 402 Kimbark St., Longmont. Contact the church office at 303-776-6833 or firstname.lastname@example.org .
