• Rylee Stevenson, who attends the University of Nebraska at Omaha, spent Labor Day weekend at the home of her parents Ken and Denise Stevenson and sister Emily Stevenson. On Sept. 2, she was a dinner guest at the home of her grandmother Florence Stevenson.

• Florence Stevenson attended the Waffleman meal Sept. 4 in the Fellowship Hall at First Presbyterian Church in Schuyler. A bake sale was held and she worked at the sale with Annette Votava and Cathie Marking. Proceeds from these events go to the Christian education camp scholarships.

• Akryn Bell of Richland and Jaxon Bell of Columbus spent Sept. 4 overnight at the home of their grandparents Dean and Lana Bell of rural Richland.

• Linda Forney of Richland and Tim, Susan, Domonic and Emerson Fischer of Schuyler were Sept. 4 dinner guests at the home of Karen Henry of Schuyler. Among other guests were Karen Henry’s family and special guest, her son David Henry and his friend Michael of Los Angeles.

• Dan and Lora Saalfeld of Hastings were Sept. 2 visitors of his mother Evelyn Saalfeld, a resident at Golden LivingCenter in Columbus.

• Jerel and Carol Engel of Richland attended the John Anderson concert at the Nebraska State Fair in Grand Island on Aug. 31.

• Russ and Linda Forney of Richland and Tim, Susan, Domonic and Emerson Fischer of Schuyler were among other family members who attended a supper on the evening of Sept. 4 at the home of Florence Forney of Bellwood.

• Attending a Sept. 4 brunch at the home of Hugh and Terri Robertson of Omaha were Larry and Carolyn Podolak, Wilma Podolak and Becky Baumert, all of Schuyler, Jerel and Carol Engel of Richland and Jon and Katie Cramer and daughters Anna, Erin, Ally and Emily of Omaha.

• Jerel and Carol Engel of Richland attended the Bellevue volleyball tournament on the afternoon of Sept. 3. Bishop Heelan High School from Sioux City, Iowa, was in the tournament. The Engels’ granddaughters Mary and Emily Volz play on the Bishop Heelan team and they won the tournament.

• Among those attending the Labor Day parade in Schuyler were Suzanne Stevenson, Florence Stevenson, Lloyd and Margaret Stevenson, Nathan, Tori, J.R. and Kipton Oehlrich and Charlene Klug.

• A Klug family reunion and a birthday celebration were held Sept. 4 at the home of B.J. and Carla Barcel of Bellwood. Those honored at the birthday celebration were Myron Klug of Richland and his two sisters Vi (Klug) Thessen of Bellwood and Joyce Keith of Princeton, Louisiana. A church service, buffet dinner and band were part of the celebration and fireworks completed the day. Families of the birthday honorees attended the reunion and celebration. Greg and Sharon Klug of rural Columbus and Charlene Klug of Columbus were among the attendees.

• Joyce Tayler of Omaha and Martha Wachal and her daughter Diane Sasser of Oregon were Sept. 2 visitors of Marcella Schmid of Columbus.
