May 14, 2018

STERLING – More than 15 free, family-friendly activities will be available at the Sterling-Rock Falls Family YMCA’s seventh annual Outdoor Adventure Fest, which runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the Y, 2505 YMCA Way.

Families can fish in the Y’s pool, play on inflatables, climb the climbing wall, and try out the new Knocker Ball area. Also new this year: a BB gun target range, a petting zoo, and a vendor show. Hoo Haven wildlife rescue folks will talk critters, and Brinkley, the Sterling Police Department’s comfort dog, will be on hand.

Learning center staff also will offer talks on native and zoo animals, and a meal will be provided.

Call 815-535-9622 or go to srfymca.org or facebook.com/SRFYMCA to sign up as a vendor or for more information.
