Charge Against Pitcher Dropped
TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) _ A judge in Tucson has dismissed a manslaughter charge against an Arizona Diamondbacks minor league pitcher.
Prosecutors asked for the dismissal, so they would get more time to appeal an earlier decision that suppressed key evidence in the case against John Rosengren.
Police alleged that Rosengren, 27, was drunk when the sports utility vehicle he was driving overturned in February. His teammate, Kenneth Robinson Jr., was killed in the accident.
In dismissing the charge Tuesday, the judge gave prosecutors the option of refiling at a later date.
