Police: Man “loses it” at Southport pizza parlor
FAIRFIELD — A Larbert Road man was arrested Nov. 9 after he allegedly walked into Sammy’s Southport Pizza, threw food on the floor, and took a swing at an employee.
Sean. C. Martin, 48, appeared intoxicated, police said, and was charged with three counts of breach of peace.
Martin came into the Pequot Avenue pizza parlor just before 8 p.m. to place an order. When his credit card was declined, the report said he “lost it” and took a swing at the employee behind the counter.
He also allegedly ripped open a bag of potato chips and threw the chips on the floor, then went and sat a table full of customers. There, Martin allegedly tried to knock over their pizza and made “inappropriate remarks.”
Police said Martin struggled with officers when they took him into custody and could not speak in full sentences.
Martin was released after posting a $100 cash bond and is scheduled to appear in state Superior Court in Bridgeport on Nov. 22.
