Holiday Parade of Homes
Editor, Daily Times:
Five festively decorated homes and good December weather brought 300-plus viewers to the 25th anniversary of Watertown’s Parade of Homes. Thank you foremost to the homeowners who graciously opened their beautifully decorated homes: Andrew and Robin Kaufmann, Pete Charles and Keri Klein, James and Sue Mattek, Mike and Carmen Scher and MaryAnn Mueller.
Proceeds of over $6,000 will be divided between the Main Street Program for downtown beautification projects and Weekend Food to Go and Grow, this year’s chosen beneficiary. Weekend Food to Go and Grow provides a weekly duffel bag of nutritious food to hungry children (primary kindergarten) and their families on the weekend, when free school breakfasts and lunches are not available.
Special thanks to these businesses and individuals: Bob Martens, our jolly Santa for 12 years and counting, Watertown Daily Times for continued support of our event, Wepco Printing, Bradow Jewelers, Piggly Wiggly for donation of shoe bags, Sandra D’s for storing and distributing the raffle items, Joe Meyers for his continued donation of hand crafted wood items and Dan Ramthun for overseeing our Facebook page.
