Fort Atkinson drug dealer set for April 3 sentencing
JEFFERSON -- A Fort Atkinson man charged with numerous drug offenses in Jefferson County Circuit Court has entered into a plea agreement with the state and faces sentencing April 3.
Sean O. Topel, 21, of Fort Atkinson, was originally charged with one count each of possession of marijuana with the intent to deliver, maintaining a drug-trafficking place, possession of methampetamine/LSD/Psilocin, possession of drug paraphernalia and resisting or obstructing an officer. The first two charges, to which he entered pleas of guilty Thursday in the court of Judge Jennifer Weston, are felonies. The remaining counts, which were read into the court record for possible consideration at sentencing, were then dismissed.
Topel was in court with his attorney David Karpe. Jefferson County District Attorney Susan Happ appeared for the State of Wisconsin.
According to Jefferson County law enforcement officials, when Topel was arrested, he was found to be in possession of marijuana and “dabs,” another form of high-potency marijuana with a street value of approximately $90,000. More than $46,000 was seized from his car.
