Temperature dropping tonight, staying cooler through remainder of the week

October 27, 2018 GMT

Western Pennsylvania got a taste of what was last week when temperatures soared into the low 80s for several days.

Like this weekend, today will be a taste of what’s to come.

Monday’s expected high temperature of 62 degrees will be relatively balmy compared to the remainder of the week, which won’t make it past 50 degrees until Friday.

There will be rain showers and patchy fog today turning to mostly cloudy skies overnight and a drop in temperature to a low of 36 degrees. Winds from the west will range between 8 and 11 mph with gusts as high as 22 mph, according to the National Weather Service in Moon Township.

Tuesday will be mostly sunny with a high of 51 degrees before turning cloudy overnight with low of 42 degrees.

Wednesday will be partly sunny with a high around 49 degrees and then dip down to 36 degrees overnight.

Thursday should be a near repeat -- sunny, high near 50 and a low of 36 overnight.

The temperature will creep up to 56 degrees on Friday with a chance of showers and set the stage for the weekend.

Saturday’s forecast calls for a high near 54 degrees and an overnight low around 39. Sunday will be partly sunny with a high near 48.
