Library presents program on Robbins, Ronstadt
BULLHEAD CITY — Steve Renzi of Arizona Humanities, in partnership with Bullhead City Friends of the Library, present Arizona Songbirds: Marty Robbins and Linda Ronstadt.
The free presentation explores and reveals the lives and careers of these two popular music giants beginning at 2 p.m. Friday, March 24 at the Bullhead library, 1170 East Hancock Road.
Blessed with beautiful and unforgettable singing voices, songs like “El Paso,” “Big Iron,” and “Yellow Roses” for Robbins, and “Different Drum,” “Blue Bayou” and “Skylark” for Ronstadt put Arizona musical influences on the national cultural map, Renzi said. Marty was a little bit country and Linda was a little bit rock and roll.
