Mae E. Ader, 93, of Chebanse, passed away Wednesday (Aug. 15, 2018) at Presence St. Mary’s Hospital in Kankakee.
She was born April 12, 1925, in Kankakee, the daughter of August and Maybelle Genshaw Sittig. Mae married Milton E. Ader on June 15, 1946, in Kankakee. He preceded her in death Nov. 26, 2012. She also was preceded in death by her parents and one brother.
Surviving are one daughter, Linda (Louis) Mahoney, of Chebanse; one son, Douglas (Sylvia) Ader, of Ashkum; four grandchildren, Misty (Joe) Powers, Karrie (Brock) Dundas, Jennifer (Jeff) Voss and Kyle (Amy) Ader; eight great-grandchildren, Samantha, Andrew and Emma Powers, Ethan, Madison and Kenzie Dundas, Ben McCarty and Leaha Voss; one brother, Art (Romona) Sittig, of Kankakee; and several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Ader was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church in Chebanse.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. Friday, Aug. 17, until the 10 a.m. funeral service at Zion Lutheran Church in Chebanse. The Rev. Kene Whybrew will officiate. Burial will follow in Kankakee Memorial Gardens in Aroma Township.
Memorials may be made to Harvest View in Herscher or Zion Lutheran Church in Chebanse.
