Lake Mills production to receive Jerry Awards
LAKE MILLS -- Lake Mills High School’s production of “The Drowsy Chaperone” will be awarded a number of Jerry Awards when the awards event takes place June 10.
Its director, Linda Heimstreet, along with colleagues and crew, have received honors for being an overall Outstanding Musical. Two Outstanding Leading Performances honors will go to Cooper Buchholtz and Blaise Knueppel. An Outstanding Supporting Performance honor will be presented Ellyn Werner. A Spirit Award will be given to Bella Buscemi.
Southern and Central Wisconsin’s top high school musical theater performers will take the stage in Overture Hall in Madison for the Jerry Awards Show.
Formerly The Tommy Awards Show, Overture recently announced the program has been renamed The Jerry Awards for local philanthropist and arts supporter W. Jerome Frautschi.
The 2018 Jerry Awards recipients will be honored and featured in performances throughout the evening. The awards show is the culminating event for the yearlong Jerry Awards program which encourages, recognizes and honors excellence in high school musical theater.
