Drug raid sweeps up father and son, seizes $100K in marijuana
BULLHEAD CITY — A search warrant took about $100,000 worth of marijuana and $1,500 of cocaine off the street and resulted in the arrest of a father-and-son drug sales team, authorities said Tuesday.
At around 7 a.m. Monday, the Mohave Area General Narcotics Enforcement Team executed a search warrant in the 5800 block of Hiada Drive in Fort Mohave.
Narcotics detectives had received information that Shawn James Williamson, 45, and Tyler James Williamson, 21, were selling marijuana and cocaine out of their home, said spokeswoman Emily Fromelt of the Bullhead City Police Department.
During the search, she said, police seized about 48 pounds of marijuana, along with about 15 grams of cocaine, $500 worth of steroids, cannabis wax, $100,000 in cash, drug paraphernalia and three fireams.
Tyler Williamson was booked on suspicion of possession of narcotic drugs for sale, possession of dangerous drugs, possession of marijuana for sale and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Shawn Williamson was booked on the same counts, plus misconduct involving weapons. They were taken to the Mohave County Jail in Kingman.
