November 30, 2018 GMT

Pamela “Pam” J. (Kannenberg) Sibiga, 45, of Portage, passed away suddenly Thursday, Nov. 15, 2018, at University of Wisconsin Hospital in Madison, surrounded by family and loved ones.

Pam was born Aug. 12, 1973, in Baraboo, the daughter of John and Wendy (Thomas) Kannenberg. She graduated from Baraboo Senior High School in 1993 and remained in the local area most of her life. On Nov. 20, 1996, Pam gave birth to her only child Meghan, whom she treasured and was the main focus in her life. In 2007, Pam married Martin Sibiga, and the three of them resided as a family in Portage.

Although Pam suffered from severe anxiety and spent years trying to overcome it, she could always be counted on as an avid listener to family and friends, and she was always available in a time of need. She was a loving mother, daughter, and wife, and she was a friend of the truest form. Pam enjoyed making collages and photography; however, her real passions were her family and friends, her pets, and her love for animals. Pam will forever be remembered for her fierce personality, her beautiful smile, her contagious laugh, her kind and generous heart, and her loving soul.

Pam is survived by her parents John and Wendy Kannenberg of Rock Springs; husband Martin; daughter Meghan Phelan of Portage; brother Jonathan (Deidre) Kannenberg of Merrimac; numerous aunts, uncles; nieces, nephews, cousins; and two very special friends, Mike Welch and Bob Alvin.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Alan and Charlotte Koepp and Edward Kannenberg; aunt and uncle, Ray and Carol Harris; and aunt, Sandra Holcomb.

A celebration of life memorial party will be held from noon to 6 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 15, 2018, at the Gem City Saloon and Eatery, 124 Ash St., Baraboo.

Kratz Funeral Home–Portage is assisting with arrangements.
