School roundup: Katherine Furry’s big day helps unbeaten Andover field hockey score another win

Katherine Furry registered two goals and an assist to lead the unbeaten Andover field hockey team to a 4-0 shutout of neighboring North Andover in the Merrimack Valley Conference. The Golden Warriors improved to 14-0-1.

Keely Smith’s four goals powered Duxbury (9-2-2) past Whitman-Hanson, 6-0, in the Patriot League. . . . Maeve Murphy’s hat trick led Scituate (11-2-1) by Pembroke, 4-1.

Isabelle Smith and Janet Dickens scored two goals apiece as Pentucket (6-5-3) rolled past Lawrence, 4-0, in a nonleague contest. . . . Catherine Connors and Maddie Leinter each scored a pair of goals to lead Watertown (12-1) past Wellesley, 5-0.

Anna Jardine made nine saves as Franklin (7-3-2) blanked Oliver Ames, 2-0, in the Hockomock League. . . . Haley Apotheker’s two goals helped Stoughton (5-6-1) by Milford, 2-1.

In the Northeastern Conference, Madi Monahan, Crickett Tompkins and Annie Ronan each found the back of the net as Marblehead (10-2-1) beat Revere, 3-0. . . . Jemima Grow finished with a hat trick as Gloucester (9-0-3) routed Saugus, 7-0.

Boys soccer

Will Sidford tallied the lone goal of the match as Newburyport (6-2-5) edged Hamilton-Wenham, 1-0, in the Cape Ann League.

In a South Coast Conference game, Cam Souza recorded a hat trick to lift Somerset Berkley (7-6-2) by Apponequet, 3-1. . . . Ben Lafrance scored two goals and added two assists to boost Old Rochester (6-3-5) past Case, 4-1.

Corey Lampman had a goal and an assist to fuel Dover-Sherborn (10-2-1) in a 3-0 win against Ashland in the Tri-Valley League.

Girls soccer

Jillian Good scored a pair of goals and North Andover (11-3) routed Lowell, 6-0, in the Merrimack Valley Conference.

Megan Giambanco struck for four goals to pace Norwood (1-12-1) to a 4-3 nonleague win over Stoughton.

Girls volleyball

Ellen Duane finished with 12 kills and 20 digs, while Grace Reinhold added 19 digs and 25 assists as Braintree (2-9) beat Archbishop Williams, 3-1, in a nonleague match.

In the Northeastern Conference, Izzy Curtain helped out with 21 assists for Marblehead (10-2) in a 3-0 sweep of Malden.
