Missing Barboursville teen located; reported safe

HUNTINGTON — A missing 16-year-old Barboursville boy has been located safe, according to Cabell County authorities.

John “Drew” Patterson, 16, has been missing since he did not show up for school Friday. Cabell County Sheriff Chuck Zerkle confirmed Patterson had been located Monday morning and that the situation was “all good.” Patterson, who prefers to go by Drew, had last been seen in Barboursville wearing jeans, a blue and black North Face hooded sweatshirt, and blue and white sneakers, according to a flier being distributed by his family.

No other details were released Monday.
