Carolinas Hospital System to celebrate National ‘Wear Red Day’
FLORENCE, S.C. – Carolinas Hospital System invites the community to celebrate American Heart Month on Friday as part of “Wear Red Day.”
From 10 a.m. to noon, CHS in Florence and CHS-Marion will offer free blood pressure checks, heart risk assessments and heart healthy education.
Physicians and staff will dress in red.
Heart disease is the leading cause of death for men and women in the United States. South Carolina has the 17th-highest rate of heart-disease-related deaths among men and women nationwide.
