Cinemark: 2Q Earnings Snapshot
PLANO, Texas (AP) _ Cinemark Holdings Inc. (CNK) on Wednesday reported second-quarter net income of $82.1 million.
On a per-share basis, the Plano, Texas-based company said it had net income of 70 cents.
The results missed Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of six analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 75 cents per share.
The movie theater owner posted revenue of $889.1 million in the period, also falling short of Street forecasts. Five analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $900.9 million.
Cinemark shares have climbed roughly 1 percent since the beginning of the year. The stock has fallen nearly 8 percent in the last 12 months.
