Scottville to begin city manager search Monday
SCOTTVILLE — City commissioners will hold their first meeting with the Michigan Municipal League to begin the process of finding a new city manager in anticipation of Amy Williams’ pending late-April resignation.
The commission will meet with lead MML recruiter Kathie Grinzinger at 4 p.m. Monday at Scottville City Hall to discuss the city’s hopes and needs for a new city manager, according to a memorandum sent out by Williams.
“(Grinzinger) anticipates about two hours to go over things and ask questions about what you see in a new city manager, so they can best recruit for us,” Williams told commissioners.
In the presentation notes for the meeting, Grinzinger outlines goals for the first discussion, including learning about the “organizational culture and expectations” city officials have for a new city manager. Officials will have a chance to share their impressions of the Scottville community and its residents, and what makes Scottville a “unique and attractive” community.
