Police investigating shots fired at East Side gas station

December 10, 2017 GMT

Police are looking for a man who fired shots at a car at an East Side gas station Friday night, with one of the bullets hitting a store window.

The incident, at 7 p.m. at BP, 4102 Commercial Ave., was reported by multiple callers, Madison police said. Their investigation found that a man, believed to have been driving a dark-colored Dodge Charger, pulled a handgun and fired four rounds at another car that was entering the parking lot.

One of the rounds struck a store window but did not go through the glass. Police said that had it gone through the glass, the store clerk would have been struck, based on where he was standing.

Everyone involved fled before police arrived, police said.
