3 dead in MV shooting
MOHAVE VALLEY — Three people were found shot to death in a Mohave Valley home Tuesday night, the apparent victims of a double-homicide and suicide.
The Mohave County Sheriff’s Office has released the identities of three people killed. Mohave Valley residents Alexandria S. Rockwood, 35, Bruce E. Penny, 46, and John B. Nielsen 68, all suffered gunshot wounds, authorities said.
The investigation into their deaths is ongoing pending autopsy results, MCSO spokeswoman Trish Carter said.
She said that the incident represents no current danger to the public.
“(The) scene is self-contained and there is no suspect at large,” she said in a statement.
No information was revealed about the manner of the shooting, including whether one of the deceased shot the others, although that is the speculation.
Sheriff’s deputies discovered the bodies at about 8:40 p.m. Tuesday after being called to the 8800 block of South Ash Street for a welfare check. The sheriff’s department did not disclose who made that request or why they sought officers to check the residence.
