HANGING LAKE-MANAGEMENT_ The U.S. Forest Service and city of Glenwood Springs have finalized a deal to run a shuttle service to a popular Colorado tourist destination. The Post Independent reports H2O Ventures has been contracted to operate the shuttle between the city and the drop-off for the scenic Hanging Lake in Glenwood Canyon.

COLORADO WEATHER _ Heavy snow in southwestern Colorado has closed schools and prompted a warning for people to shovel their roofs. The Durango Herald reports that children in and around Durango got a second straight day off from school Friday because of the storm still hitting the area.
