How to watch: Detroit Tigers vs. Kansas City Royals
The Tigers will open a seven-game homestand tonight against the defending World Series champion Royals.
Detroit’s Daniel Norris (1-0, 4.00 ERA) will get the start. He allowed one run in five innings in Seattle last week.
Ian Kennedy (6-9, 3.91 ERA) will pitch for Kansas City. He gave up one run in six innings against Chicago last week.
The Tigers picked up a series win at Texas with a 7-0 win on Sunday afternoon at Globe Life Park. Michael Fulmer threw the first complete game and shutout of his major league career, scattering four hits and striking out nine.
Offensively, J.D. Martinez and Victor Martinez each had three hits, including a double and a home run, and drove in two runs, while Miguel Cabrera and Ian Kinsler each added a solo home run in the win.
After a three-game series against Kansas City, the homestand continues with four games against Boston.
