Wilder remembered for kindness and warmth
STAMFORD — Gene Wilder, who brought comedic genius to his classic roles in “Young Frankenstein,” “Blazing Saddles” and other films, was remembered last week by fellow Stamford residents for his disarming openness and warmth. Wilder, who lived in North Stamford for decades, died at home last Monday of complications from Alzheimer’s disease. He was 83 and a week away from celebrating his 25th wedding anniversary with his wife, Karen Boyer Wilder.
