Two people arrested in connection with Loofe murder charged with separate offenses
LINCOLN - Two people being held in connection with the disappearance and death of Sydney Loofe formerly of Neligh, have been charged, but not in connection with the case.
Federal officials have charged 51-year-old Aubrey Trail and 23-year-old Bailey Boswell with transporting stolen items across state lines. They are accused of taking stolen merchandise from Hiawatha, Kansas to Beatrice.
Both have appeared in federal court in Lincoln. Both have been declared flight risks and are being held in Lincoln. Both had earlier taken to social media to insist they are innocent.
Authorities found Loofe’s body in Rural Clay County last week. Loofe was reported missing November 16th when she failed to report for work.
Family members say she had gone out the night before with someone she had met online. She had last been seen in Wilber.
Preliminary hearings for Trail and Boswell have been scheduled for this week.
