Bomb Explosion at BASF Office
ARNHEM, Netherlands (AP) _ A bomb exploded at the entrance to the Dutch headquarters of the German chemical company BASF, but no injuries were reported, police said today.
The bomb went off shortly before 11:00 p.m. Tuesday night, causing damage to the doorway and windows. No one has claimed responsibility for the bombing, said police spokesman Jos Rouen.
Tuesday’s blast was the third such explosion in the last six months in this eastern Dutch city near the German border.
The two other bombs, set off outside French bank offices here, were believed to be protests to French nuclear testing in the South Pacific.
No arrests have been made in those attacks, which resulted in damage but no injuries.
