Tolsia Rebels making a move

September 21, 2018

GLENHAYES, W.Va. — Tolsia High School’s football team generated some momentum last week with a victory at Westside.

Now at 2-2 following the 48-18 triumph in Clear Fork, West Virginia, the Rebels are back in the mix heading into another road game at 7:30 p.m. Friday game against Tug Valley (2-1) in Naugatuck, West Virginia.

Tolsia rushed for more than 400 yards against Westside and had seven players scoring touchdowns. Defensively, the Rebels limited Westside to minus-two rushing yards.

Devon Crum and Tanner Copley both scored a pair of touchdowns and John Wilson ran for one. Defensive lineman Kameron Holmes returned a fumble for a score.

Coach Eric Crum said Tug Valley is always a game the Rebels look forward to playing.

“They’re usually pretty good, but they may not see us coming,” he said.

Tug Valley comes off a nail biting win over Phelps, 30-24. Parker Brewer punched in the game winning touchdown from 4 yards out with just 1:11 left in the game.

Tug Valley’s defense forced three turnovers and held Phelps to 205 total yards.
