Seattle man injured in crash on Interstate 90

A Seattle man was injured in a crash on Interstate 90 Tuesday afternoon at the Snoqualmie Summit.

Yafet Habtom, 19, of Lynnwood was driving a 2004 grey Toyota Camry eastbound at 12:57 p.m., when he lost control, left the roadway to the right, struck a snowbank and then re-entered the interstate and struck a semi. The semi was driven by Igor Guzum, 30, of Chicago, according to the Washington State Patrol.

Bona Adam, 21, of Seattle was a passenger in Habtom’s vehicle. Adam was injured in the crash and taken to Snoqualmie Valley Hospital. Habtom was not injured.

Guzum was not injured.

Habtom faces charges for driving too fast for conditions, without insurance and with expired tabs, according to the WSP.
