Huntington man arrested for incest, sexual assault
HUNTINGTON - A Huntington man is behind bars after he allegedly committed incest and sexual assault against a 4-year-old child.
Billy Lee Mount, 41, was incarcerated at 5:55 p.m. Monday. He is charged with two counts of incest, three counts of sexual assault in the first degree, and three counts of sexual abuse by a parent or guardian.
According to the criminal complaint, the West Virginia State Police received word of the incidents that allegedly took place on Washington Avenue in Huntington in December.
The victim’s mother advised the child stated that she saw Mount’s genitalia, and which he allegedly asked her to touch with her hands and mouth.
An interview with the victim by the Child Advocacy Center later in the month revealed more, but the victim became evasive and denied further questioning after the victim told the interviewer the suspect was mean to her.
In March, the victim’s mother contacted investigating officers to tell them the victim had disclosed sexual abuse to her therapist. The mother signed a release form to have the records collected by police.
The victim said no one but the suspect had touched her private area. She also said the suspect told her she would get in trouble if she told and he would go to jail, but she told anyway.
Investigating officers conducted a Mirandized interview with Mount on Monday. He allegedly said the victim was lying.
Mount is being housed at the Western Regional Jail on $1 million bond.
