Fire in Old City; dozens evacuated

A fire that began before dawn Sunday in an apartment building in Old City has reached four alarms and has caused the evacuation of dozens.

“We’re going to be here for hours,” Fire Commissioner Adam Thiel told reporters just after 6:30 at the fire scene on Chesnut Street between Second and Third Streets, across from the new Museum of the American Revolution.
