S. Philly man pleads guilty in hit-run death of woman on corner with son, husband
A South Philly driver who blew a stop sign while doing the “South Philly Slide” and who then plowed into a 38-year-old mother standing on a street corner with her 2-year-old son and her husband, killing the woman, pleaded guilty Friday to charges of homicide by vehicle while DUI and leaving the scene of a fatal accident.
George McGoldrick apologized in court for causing the death of Suryani Tjung at about 8:30 p.m. July 22 at the intersection of 21st and Jackson Streets, in South Philly.
