SC man is latest millionaire thanks to state lottery
COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) — A South Carolina man is the state’s latest millionaire thanks to the South Carolina Education Lottery.
Dennis Ressler, of Boiling Springs, won the $1 million prize on a Carolina Millions scratch-off ticket he purchased at the Breakers Inman convenience store on Asheville Highway.
The Spartanburg Herald-Journal reports officials said Wednesday that Ressler won the last top prize in the $10 million Carolina Millions game, which officials said has a 1 in 1.8 million chance of winning.
Ressler called the win life changing. He says he plans to retire in a few years.
Breakers Inman will receive $10,000 for selling the ticket.
