Broomfield Police Investigating Car That Flew Off Highway
A man was taken to a hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening after driving his car off U.S. Highway 36 while heading west, just past the ramp for Interlocken Loop, around 11:37 a.m. Wednesday.
Broomfield police are investigating the single-car crash, which didn’t damage any other vehicles or hurt anyone else, according to Public Information Officer Jolene Reefe. The Ford sedan landed near a sign about 800 feet north of the highway.
The North Metro Fire Department took the driver to an undisclosed hospital for a medical evaluation. Police do not know if a medical event was involved in the incident.
At this time, police don’t believe drugs or alcohol are involved, but they are still investigating, Reefe said.
