Annual Christmas Lights Bicycle Ride in Nampa
Bike Walk Nampa is gearing up for its Annual Christmas Lights Bicycle Ride.
The ride is slated to start at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 15 and begins and ends at Rolling H Cycles at 115 13th Ave. in Nampa. It includes a guided “slow ride” for about 45 minutes that takes bike riders on a scenic route “to see the neighborhood displays without those pesky foggy car windows blurring your view,” said the press release.
LaRita Schandorff said it is a great family event, but cautioned riders to bundle up and dress for the weather conditions of the day. Participants are also encouraged to get in on the festivities of the season by decorating their bicycles and being a part of the roving event.
Schandorff said there will also be a hot chocolate stop along the way at the home of Joe and Tammy Bell. The event is free and open to all ages. Helmets are recommended and front and rear lights are required.
