Family Fun Center XL closes in Omaha

March 6, 2019

Omaha’s Family Fun Center XL in Omaha closed this past weekend, the business announced on its Facebook page.

The entertainment center has been a destination for Nebraska families for the past 37 years, originally at 72nd and Dodge and later at its 108th and L location.

“Seven years later we have unfortunately found it impossible as a family-owned business to keep our doors open any longer with the changing times of video games in everyone’s homes and smartphones, as well as many other factors,” the Facebook post said.

Omaha’s last roller-skating rink also is closing. Lincoln’s roller-skating rink, SkateZone, closed in 2017.
