Fire Allegedly Set by Young Couple
FORT GAY, W.Va. (AP) _ A teen-age girl and her boyfriend allegedly set a mobile home fire that killed her father and brother and injured her mother and another brother, police said.
John Trout, 37, died in Sunday morning’s fire and his 12-year-old son, Johnethan, died Tuesday at a hospital burn unit. His twin brother, Jeffrey, was hospitalized in serious condition and Norma Trout was in fair condition.
Authorities were searching for the Trout’s 15-year-old daughter, who is wanted on a juvenile petition charging her with arson, and Matthew Frazier, 21, of Ashland, Ky., who is wanted on arson and murder warrants.
Frazier and John Trout allegedly had a disagreement because Trout had tried to stop his daughter from seeing Frazier, Wayne County Sheriff David Pennington said.
Two gasoline cans were found outside the front door of the mobile home, Louisa Fire Chief Eddie Preston said. He said the single-wide trailer where the family lived was engulfed in flames when his department arrived.
