August 6, 2017 GMT

Plans for the 2018 Aiken County Public Schools graduation ceremonies are on the agenda when the Aiken County School Board meets Tuesday.

The meeting will be at 7 p.m. in the district office at 1000 Brookhaven Drive.

Since 2009, the district has held the graduation ceremonies for its seven high schools at USC Aiken’s Convocation Center, according to the agenda.

The cost to rent the center for two days is about $15,000.

According to the agenda, the district will continue to seek donations to cover the cost but has $17,000 in its budget to pay the rental fee if needed.

The graduation ceremonies will be Jun. 7-8, 2018.

Other items on the agenda include a legislative update, out-of-district transfer requests and personnel appointments.
