Three cars broken into while owners were at RHS football game
Three vehicles were broken into while their owners were watching the Rome Wolves football game at Barron Stadium Friday night.
According to Rome police reports:
All three vehicles were parked in different areas around Barron Stadium. Two of them had their front-right passenger windows shattered, while the third vehicle had a passenger window left rolled down by the owner. The calls came in between 10:07 p.m. and 10:28 p.m.
A red Nissan Altima was parked near the intersection of North Fifth Avenue and West Third Street when, sometime over the course of the game, its window was shattered, with the items missing being valued at $138. A Michael Kors purse, a wallet, a Social Security card, a driver’s license, a debit card and $15 were taken.
A gray Acura was parked in the lot of Safe Lock & Key at 210 N. Second Ave. when its window was shattered and broken into, with the total value of items taken being $253. A purse, a Michael Kors wallet, a driver’s license, credit and debit cards, a key to a different car, and $30 were taken.
The third vehicle, an Audi Q5, was parked at Barron Stadium, 300 W. Third St., when items with a total value of $1,845 were taken from it while a window was left rolled down. A Louis Vuitton purse, valued at $1,700, had been left on the floor on the driver’s side. A Coach wallet, a checkbook, and credit and debit cards were also taken.
