Horse-drawn carriage hits vehicles, causes minor injuries
OCONOMOWOC -- A horse-drawn carriage collided with two vehicles Saturday causing several minor injuries to passengers involved.
According to a press release from the Western Lake Fire District, the incident occurred at 11:10 a.m. near the intersection of South Main Street and Wisconsin Avenue in Oconomowoc. Initial callers reported a horse-drawn carriage was loose in the downtown area.
“A total of 15 patients were assessed for injuries,” the release states. “Each of the vehicles had three occupants. The carriage was carrying eight civilians, and one of the horse handlers was assessed. No serious injuries occurred as a result of the incident.”
The incident remains under investigation by the city of Oconomowoc Police Department.
