Billings Motorcycle Club to host AMA National area qualifier

The Billings Motorcycle Club will play host to an area qualifying round for the Loretta Lynn AMA Amateur National Motocross Championship on Friday on Saturday.

Practice rounds will run on Friday from 9 to 2 p.m. with races going from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. On Saturday, races will begin at 8 a.m. and run all day. Tickets will be $10 per day.

Over 300 riders from Montana and the Western states will compete in 36 classes in a point-based scoring system on the BMC’s island motocross track.

The top 12 placers from this qualifier will advance to the regional qualifier in Washougal, Washington. The top four from that round will receive an invite to the championship round, held at Loretta Lynn’s ranch racetrack in Hurricane Mills, Tennessee from July 31 to August 5.
